Animated Movie - Robots
![]() Category: Animated Movie Title: Robots Genre: Just for Kids, Family Directed by: Chris Wedge, Carlos Saldanha Base on: Chris Wedge and Bill Joyce came up with the story Music by: John Powell Distributed by: 20th Century Fox Length of Movie: Approx 1 hour 30 minutes Language: English Some of the Character casts: Ewan McGregor – Rodney Copperbottom Robin Williams – Fender Mel Brooks – Mr Bigwield Chris Wedge – Wonderbot Amanda Bynes - Piper Official Website: http://robotsmovie.com/index.php My Rating: 7/10 Plot/ Story line: I think the story line’s rather simple, but I was really touched by the scenes that emphasized on the strong bond and love between Rodney Copperbottom and his Father, Herb. The front part of the movie is extremely hilarious! Especially on how they made babies! As in, seriously literally made babies! This movie tried to tie in reality with the animated world that it all seemed so funny and it still made some sense! I had a good time laughing. However, I personally feel that the part on how Rodney tried to stop Ratchet from destroying the old robots needs more drama and plot. In addition, until now I have no idea why did Mr Bigwield actually leave the company! Was he being tricked or what? I would say the story line’s a little cliché so I was rather bored when it got to the middle of the story. But the ending was really very touching! So my mood throughout the whole movie was HIGH, then LOW then HIGH again. Some parts that was suppose to be funny didn’t really tickle me at all, but overall, I guess it’s a rather nice and sweet family film (: Animations: The animations were very cool and interesting. Like a whole new world. All the robots look rather cute too. Haha! It’s really for kids, and the animations and effects made it interesting. Even though some scenes were unrealistic, it wasn’t overly done. So in a nut shell, I’m pretty impressed by the animations and computer graphics! Characters: Rodney’s one hell determined teenager who was inspired by his dad and Mr Bigwield since young. He has a good upbringing, all thanks to his wonderful, understanding and self-sacrificing parents and Rodney never fails to strive ahead. He’s a good role model for kids. Rodney’s dad, Herb, was the character that impressed me the most throughout the entire movie. He really knows how to love Rodney without pampering him, and constantly gives encouragement to Rodney to never give up on his dreams. I give Rodney’s dad my utmost respect and admiration! If Rodney’s a good role model for kids, Herb’s a good role model for fathers! Sound effects: I personally think the sounds effects were so-so. In fact the only song/music I remembered is the very last one, where Mr Copperbottom, Herb, blew the trumpet so awfully that everyone had to make random noises and it sounded so much better and carefree. Most memorable line/scene: I have two memorable scenes for this movie! “Because I want to grow up to be just like you!” Said Mr Bigwield to Rodney when he gave Rodney his support. “You believed in me,” said Rodney to his father when thanking him for everything his father has done for him even though they were poor. (I was very moved by this scene) I would recommend it to: Just the kids and the family! It really is a rather interesting movie for the family to sit down together to enjoy. The older children may find it a little boring though. Credits: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_movie http://www.imdb.com/media/rm623877376/tt0358082 |
