My Rating: 5/10

Plot/ Story line:

I found the story line way too simple, total lack of drama. I’m sorry to say that the ‘adventurous’ parts of the movie made me yawn quite a bit. Though I have to admit that the smart twist in the end of how Sinbad turned the tables and made Eris lose the bet was kind of interesting. The love/romance part of it was EXTREMELY EXPECTED that I was so bored with it. However, one major good point of this movie was the hilarious and laugh-out-loud scenes that Sinbad and Marina shared due to their witty comments. This was the only truly entertaining part about this entire film.

Animations:

Fantastic. The animations, nice blend of colours and graphics are the reason why I was eve able to give this movie a 5 upon 10. Without such animations, I would most probably fail this movie.

Characters:

I personally feel Sinbad’s naughty pirate and arrogant characteristic was strongly portrayed through Brad Pitt’s voice. Like Brad Pitt’s voice really suited Sinbad! Sinbad’s a nice guy I would say, but like any other hot blooded male, he’s attracted to beauty. Dangerously charming, that’s how I would describe Sinbad.

Marina gives me a mysterious feeling. No idea why, but she always seems so far away. Like when you look into her eyes, it’s as though she’s somewhere else. But she’s really some fighter and one heck of a lady on board the ship. I don’t like her short hair though. She’s got style, but I don’t really like it when she fell in love with Sinbad so easily. Like come on! Shouldn’t she have more women pride than that? Perhaps it’s because Sinbad can be really charming. Whatever it is.

Sound effects:

Impressive, but not good enough for me. I think the adventurous scenes could be more exciting if the sound effects were more engaging. I don’t know la ):

Most memorable line/scene:

“Argh! Men!” – Marina being annoyed by Sinbad’s nonchalant and arrogant behaviour.

I would recommend it to:

Brad Pitt fans and those who don’t have any better animated movie to watch.

This movie isn’t that bad la, I was just rather bored by it overall. It’s a good animated movie to waste time though.
